Where is Villa 4Eyes?

Villa 4Eyes is at Kakulan Ovita, Thalpe North, Metaramba, Unawatuna 80600, on the south coast of Sri Lanka. It sits on the mangroves beside a small river, set back from the road, about 4.6 km from Galle Fort and 2.7 km from Unawatuna Beach. The Google Plus Code is 27F4+7F Unawatuna.

How far is Villa 4Eyes from Galle Fort?

The Galle Fort Clock Tower is 4.6 km from the villa, and Galle Harbour is 3 km away. Most guests take a tuk-tuk, which is a short ride along the coast road. That makes the villa a quiet base for exploring the old town by day and coming back to the mangroves in the evening.

How far is the beach?

Unawatuna Beach is about 2.7 km away, roughly five minutes by tuk-tuk. Jungle Beach is 4.5 km away below Rumassala, and the Palm Rope Swing is 2.5 km away. Walking to Unawatuna Beach takes around 50 minutes, so most guests ride. The hosts can call a tuk-tuk to the villa for you.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is from 13:00 to 19:00 and check-out is from 11:00 to 12:00. The hosts are reachable 24 hours a day by phone or WhatsApp on +94 70 333 2468. If you are arriving early or late, message ahead and they will do their best to fit around your travel plans.

On Booking.com in October 2026, the King Room with Lake View was about LKR 8,400 a night for two with breakfast, and the King Room with Balcony about LKR 10,600, both plus roughly 11% taxes. Prices change with the season, so message us on WhatsApp for the current direct rate.

Is breakfast included, and what is served?

Breakfast is included with Booking.com rates and is cooked fresh each morning at a time you agree with the hosts. Options include a full English breakfast, Asian dishes, and vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free choices, with warm dishes and fresh juice. Guests say it changes every day. Tell the hosts about any dietary needs when you book.

Do the rooms have air conditioning and Wi-Fi?

Yes. Both rooms have air conditioning and ceiling fans, and free Wi-Fi throughout measured at about 68 Mbps, which handles video calls and streaming. Each room also has a private bathroom with a hot shower, a terrace or balcony, a kitchen area and a washing machine.

Can I cook my own meals?

Yes. Each room has a kitchen area with a fridge, oven, electric kettle, cookware and a full set of crockery, plus a dining table. Guests describe the kitchen as well equipped with plenty of dishes. Shops, restaurants and massage places are a short tuk-tuk ride away if you would rather eat out.

Is there parking at the villa?

Yes. Free private parking is available on site, so you can arrive by car, on a hired scooter or with a driver. The villa is set a little back from the road, so it stays quiet. If you have a large vehicle, mention it when you enquire so the hosts can tell you where best to park.

Are children welcome?

Children of any age are welcome at Villa 4Eyes. Please note that cots and extra beds are not available, and each room has one king-size bed, so it suits couples, solo travellers or a parent with a young child sharing. Add children's ages when you send your booking request.

Are pets, smoking or parties allowed?

No. Pets are not allowed, all rooms are non-smoking, and the villa does not host parties or events, including hen and stag parties. The house rules keep it calm for every guest and for the wildlife along the river, which is one of the main reasons people choose to stay here.

How do I book directly?

Send a booking request through this website or message the hosts on WhatsApp at +94 70 333 2468 with your dates and number of guests. They will confirm availability and price. You can also book instantly on Booking.com, where many rates need no prepayment and you pay at the property.

Is Villa 4Eyes good for longer stays?

Yes. Guests have stayed for two weeks and more. Each room has a washing machine, a working kitchen and fast Wi-Fi, and the hosts clean every few days. The quiet lagoon setting, regular breakfast and friendly family hosts make it easy to settle in and use the villa as a base for the south coast.

How do I get to the villa by public transport?

Unawatuna railway station is about 15 minutes' walk from the villa, on the coastal line that runs to Galle and Colombo. Meegahawaththa bus stop is about 10 minutes' walk away. Koggala Airport is around 20 minutes by road. For luggage, a tuk-tuk from the station or bus stop is the easiest option.

What wildlife might I see?

The villa backs onto mangroves and a small river, so wildlife is part of the stay. Guests regularly see birds, palm squirrels and peacocks, along with purple-faced langurs in the trees and monitor lizards swimming past. Guests say there is something to watch at almost any time of day from the terrace, so keep your camera handy.
