A family-run villa on the water's edge
Villa 4Eyes is a small bed and breakfast run by a friendly family in Metaramba, Thalpe North. Two bright, new rooms look over the garden, the river and the mangroves that lead to the lagoon.
Our story
Built for slow mornings
Everything here comes back to two things: room to breathe, and the view. Each room has its own kitchen area, washing machine and outdoor space, so guests can settle in for a weekend or a fortnight.
The house is set a little back from the road, so the soundtrack is birdsong and the river rather than traffic. Teak furniture, white walls and striped handloom bedspreads give the rooms a simple Sri Lankan feel, and the veranda and deck are where most of the day happens.
Galle Fort and Unawatuna Beach are a short tuk-tuk ride away when you want them. When you don't, there is the slow pace of the terrace, squirrels in the palms and langurs in the trees.
